Please start on time!! On second thought, I don't care, as long as they start by December 1st. Untill then I'll be watching Russell Wilson tear it up in the NFL.

The Polls are total BS.
How can anyone voice an opinion on how they are negotiating unless they are in the room filling their water jugs during negotiations.
It's all way too speculative.
The one that you had the first time about 'Who do you support?: Players vs Owners' is really the only one that is logical.

He works for the owners... and to date has actually done a great job FOR THE OWNERS.
He could care less about what the general public thinks. His 30 bosses (well... 29 til the Coyotes are sold) are what matters to him.

Bettman has no worries because he thinks, rightly so, that the fans will clamor for hockey when ever they see fit to give it to us. The only way to make sure this doesn't happen every time a new CBA is due is for the fans to strike back. I'm not talking anything unrealistic like swearing off hockey all together, but what about the first 2 home games? If the season starts late simply stay home the first two home games. Watch at home and let these greedy bastards feel the burn for a couple games.

So you think that the casual observer actually understands the complexity of collective bargaining?

Sides may break? It would be news if the sides were not to break. It's like everyone is finishing up their Fantasy Football lists.

Here too. They will sell out every game still. So why would the owners care about starting the season on time? People just don't seem to get that if you do what you've always done you will get what you've always gotten or you can revolt against things you don't believe in. The only thing the owners see is dollars and cents. People can affect change.
